Hispanic Heritage Month.  What is that?  Beginning in 1968 as a week-long observance of Hispanic/Latin culture and its wide-reaching influence and contributions to the United States.

Now, Hispanic/Latin Heritage month starts on September 15 and runs through October 15th, giving a full four weeks to celebrate the history of Latinx peoples, dating back even before Spain showed up here in the Americas.

One of the best ways we celebrate this month is together- through music, dancing, food, and festivities throughout the country.  If you are involved in community organizing, you may already have this on your radar: gathering resources and making a plan for your own Hispanic Heritage Month celebration. Make hosting easy with Hispanic Heritage Month event restroom rentals, from luxury restroom trailers to simple event porta potties, so guests stay comfortable and lines stay short.

If you’re new at this kind of thing, you’re in luck.  There are plenty of resources available to help you plan your fiesta. With such a rich and varied group of cultures, there is no end to good ideas.

Whether you’re celebrating with a small group, your neighborhood, or the whole city,  there’s one small detail you won’t want to overlook.  Since you’re here, you may already have a guess.

The Spirit of Celebration

If there’s one word that simply can’t apply to us as a country, it’s ‘homogenized’.  Our Latinx population has been instrumental in shaping the very bones of the United States, from Cesar Chavez and the labor movement to musicians like Carlos Santana and Selena Quintanilla, to Ellen Ochoa, the first Hispanic-American woman in space!

With such a wide range of talents, it’s no wonder we’re such a diverse country.

So, how do we celebrate?  We organize parades, cookouts, quinceañeras, concerts, art fairs, community storytelling, and more.  No matter how large or small you want your event to be, you won’t run out of ideas.

All of these events share a common thread: guests.  Ready to celebrate the month, eat, drink, dance, and sing, and learn something new.  And they’ll all need one thing: the bathroom.  A community event designed to bring us together needs amenities to match: clean, accessible, and comfortable.  Don’t panic, I’ve got you.

Events That Shine During Hispanic Heritage Month

From street fairs to backyard parties, there are so many ways to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with style and flair.

Cultural Festivals: Get the whole town involved in a lively celebration of Latin sounds, flavors, and art. Put the spotlight on local businesses and performers, and organize a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.  Luxury multi-unit lavatory check:  check!

Block Parties or Church Events: Many celebrations are grassroots: church barbecues, neighborhood gatherings, and car shows.  Flushing toilets and a sink to wash up check:  check!

Weddings, Quinceañeras, and Milestone Events: Hispanic Heritage Month overlaps with many personal milestones. These celebrations can take a lot of planning, from guest lists to music to bright, festive decor.  A lavatory attendant standing by with clean, fresh towels and lotion check: check!

Food Truck or Vendor Events: As this writer prepares her first cilantro harvest of the season, it’ll have to go without saying that lining up those food trucks has got to be one of the best ways to celebrate the vibrant flavors of Latin heritage!  Plenty of clean bathrooms accessible to all check: check!

Comfort and Care Are Cultural Values

As you plan your celebration, don’t lose sight of providing that extra thoughtful touch to every one of your participants and guests.  While it may feel like you’re overthinking it, you really aren’t.  Hospitality and grace are aligned with Hispanic cultural values of family, dignity, and shared joy.  And who couldn’t use a little shared joy these days?

Including features like climate control, soft lighting, running water, and flushing toilets, as well as those optional attendants and amenity baskets, will reflect the care you’ve put into your event – the same care you’ve put into choosing your decorations, menu, and itinerary.

Small Details, Big Impact

As you arrange for the perfect food vendors, only the best local Mariachi band, and choose from decor options spanning half a continent, the extra care you’ll be showing by renting luxury restroom trailers for the event will shine, even if you think it won’t.  Instead of just a standard porta-potty and the visuals and smelly problems that can come along, what you’re doing is essentially providing your guests with an ‘indoor’ bathroom without the walk.  Guests of all ages will be able to stay clean and comfortable and enjoy themselves even longer.

Let’s celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in style this year.  Whether you’re arranging food for just a few, lining the block with taco trucks or arranging for those cumbia lessons I always thought I’d get around to, renting a luxury lavatory trailer is the one small touch with the biggest impact.  Oddly enough, I know a guy.  Yo te cubro.
